We are excited to have you join the team.

First Day Essentials

To help you prepare for your first day:

  • Bring a government-issued photo ID to receive your House ID.
  • Plan to arrive on time and follow any reporting instructions provided in your onboarding communications.
  • You do not need to bring a laptop — you will be issued a CAO device for the duration of your internship.

What to Wear

Business professional or business casual attire is appropriate for your first day, unless otherwise directed.

What to Expect

On your first day, you will:

  • Complete onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Meet members of your team.
  • Connect with your intern cohort.

Your Experience

Throughout your internship, you can expect to:

  • Work on meaningful, real-world assignments.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Engage with fellow interns through cohort activities.
  • Build connections across the CAO and the broader House community.

This program is designed to support your growth while contributing to the CAO’s mission to serve the House community.

We look forward to supporting your development and helping you make the most of your experience at the CAO.
